Reception in the City Hall, Allhuset, Kista and drunk people
| Wednesday evening was a reception in Stadshuset for the exchange students in Stockholm. We all dressed up nicely and were on the spot sharply at 17:45h (what kind of time is that?). There one could admire all the other dressed up students and of course the city hall, where the Nobel banquet is held anually. |

| Inside, we were greeted with a glass of wine and several people took a speech. I don't want to bore anybody with the history of the building, for those interested, here are the links to the City Hall Website and to Wikipedia. After the speech, the buffet war openend and we could fill our bellys mercilessly. At least was that my plan, but either the organisers didn't anticipate the collegiate hunger (and thirst) or were to greedy, because to buffet and the beverages were soon gone. A general atmosphere of departure arose quite quickly and at 8 o'clock, the fun was already over. |

Richtig, man geht ins Allhuset. | What does a student in Stockholm with an inchoate Wednesday evening? Right, one goes to Allhuset. Well, with the Spaniards, it takes a little longer until one reachs this decision and even longer until one's actually there. But we made it and the evening seemed to be safed, after the somewhat abrupt end of the reception. |

Der Dialog lief dann ungefähr so ab: | Until the crushing call by Yannick came. First of all, I should maybe explain, that we got a swappable harddrive for our assignment in the lecture "Introduction to Computer Security", with what we then had to work in the computer room in the university in Kista. We used it last time Wednesday around noon. The dialog took place appoximately like this |
"Hey Yannick, how are you?"
"Well, not so fine. I have to ask you something. Have you taken the harddrive with you this morning?"
"No, you took it, didn't you?"
"No, I didn't."
"Shit."
"Well, not so fine. I have to ask you something. Have you taken the harddrive with you this morning?"
"No, you took it, didn't you?"
"No, I didn't."
"Shit."
| We came to the conclusion, that it might be a good idea, to go to Kista and to find out if the stupid thing is still there. Because if our teacher would find it the next morning (in case he had not already found the disk or it was stolen), the shit would really hit the fan. So we went from the party to Kista (it can't get much worse). Yannick had deliberately asked me several times if I remember my security code to enter the building. And I was really sure that I know it. We were accompanied by Henry and Ambra, who live in Kista, so the ride was quite nice. |

| Less nice was the conclusion, that we arrive at midnight and that the last subway goes back at 0:30. We sprinted to the IT-forum and it came as it had to come, I didn't remember my code. Luckily, there were some people standing around and one of them let us in. The stupid thing was, that he didn't have access to the part of the building, where our computer room and therewith hopefully also our harddrive was. One has to say in that matter, that this building is the former IBM headquarter in Sweden and that these people must have been somewhat paranoid. On every second door, one has has to swipe one's id card through a reader, from a certain time, one even needs one's code (which I stupidly didn't know). |
| There we stood, separated from our harddrive only by two doors and my stupidity. Luckily there were two security guards in the building. Apparently I was not quite sober, as I had the glorious idea, to ask the two guys if they couldn't help us, we had forgotten something there and we absolutely had to get into this room. Normaly one would think that would laugh at me and put both of us in the next drunk tank. But no, we walked straightway to our computer room, the guards opened the doors and our harddrive was also still there. We even catched the last subway and actually I could have fallen luckily in my bed. |

| But it should end differently. Patrick had four friends from Germany for visit and they had brought oddles of alcohol. After I dropped my harddrive securely in my flat, I went to Patrick and partied (read: drank) until 4 am. When the security came, because we were way to loud, I concluded, that it would be the right time for departure. |

| This is the only picture of this part of the evening that I can put online with a clear conscience. You can surely imagine the rest. |
