Barbecue & the Vibe

Samstag mittags bin ich mit Flo ein wenig durch die Stadt gelaufen. Ich habe ihm zuerst die KTH Campus Valhallavägen gezeigt. Von dort aus sind wir dann zum Hard Rock Cafe gelaufen (Ecke Sveavägen/Odengatan). Da wir einen Kaffee trinken wollten und das Hard Rock Cafe mehr ein Restaurant ist, sind wir nach Östermalm gelaufen, um uns ein nettes Cafe irgendwo bei Stureplan zu suchen.

Saturday afternoon, I took a walk through Stockholm with Flo. At first, I showed him KTH campus Valhallavägen. From there, we walked to the Hard Rock Cafe (corner Sveavägen/Odengatan). As we wanted to have a coffee and the Hard Rock Cafe is more a restaurant, we headed to Östermalm, to look for a nice cafe somewhere around Stureplan.

Am Abend stand zuerst Grillen auf der Dachterasse auf dem Programm. Sogar die Südländer waren ausnahmsweise mal halbwegs pünktlich. Gegen 22:30 Uhr sind wir (die Spanier, die Portugiesen, Patrick, Flo und ich) in die Stadt zum Club The Vibe (oder Berzelli Bar, irgendwie hat hier jeder Laden mehr als einen Namen) aufgebrochen. Am Eingang hat sich wieder das übliche Drama abgespielt: einige von uns waren nicht auf der Gästeliste und mussten Eintritt bezahlen, die Portugiesen durften erst mal gar nicht rein. Sie hatten dann aber später bei einem anderen Türsteher mehr Glück. Am Anfang war der Club ziemlich leer, dafür war die Tanzfläche voll mit Frauen (nur Frauen, um genau zu sein). Ich werde nie verstehen, warum man erst um 1 Uhr in einen Club geht, 100 kr Eintritt bezahlt und dann um 3 Uhr wieder nach Hause geht. Aber später war es dann ziemlich voll. Dani und Luis haben es geschafft zwei Mädels aufzugabeln und haben ausgiebig mit ihnen rumgeknutscht. Flo und ich sind mit der letzten U-Bahn kurz nach 3 Uhr zurück nach Sundbyberg gefahren, da er am nächsten Morgen um 8 mit dem Bus zurück nach Linköping gefahren ist.

In the evening, the first point on the agenda was a barbecue on the roof-deck. Even the southerners managed to be halfway on time. Around 22:30h, we (the Spaniards, the Portugese, Patrick, Flo und I) left to the club The Vibe (or Berzelli Bar, somehow every etablissment here has more than one name). At the entrance, the usual drama happend: some of us were not on the guest list and had to pay the entrance fee, the Portuguese were not allowed to get in at all. But they had more luck with another bouncer later. At the beginning, the club was quite empty, in exchange was the dancefloor populated with girls (only girls, to be precise). I will never understand, why one goes to a club at 1 o'clock, pays 100 kr entrance fee, just to go home at 3am. But later it was quite crowded. Dani and Luis were able to pick up two girls und they were making out with them copiously. Flo and I went back to Sundbyberg with the last subway a few minutes past 3am, as he had to take the bus back to Linköping at 8am in the next morning.
